I've been playing with 3D drawings for a while but have been hesitant to share the results until now. My approach was anything but realistic: I simply attempted to do what I normally do in terms of compositions, forms, textures, brushes, and color use, but with one additional dimension to experiment with.
Finding a topic to work with was not difficult: old posters and commercials, particularly those for Martini, Campari, and other liquor companies, were a major source of inspiration for me. Cocktails are more than just a concoction of liquor, tastes, and scents. They combine places, tales, traditions, and cultures, and what better occasion to combine all of these things into some compositions?
This series takes you on a journey through some of the most famous Italian cocktails and the locations where they emerged.
